Strength Based Research in Indigenous Maternal and Family Health
In our Maskwacîs Maternal, Child & Family Wellbeing (MMCFW) Research Group, we are collaborating to create the spaces and opportunities for the positive and loving energy that can come from cultural revitalization and supporting healthy families to bring life into this world in the way the Creator intended. Our research continues to develop and evaluate strengths-based, community-led, and culturally-informed strategies to support families during pre-conception, pregnancy, infancy and early childhood. This is an overview of what strength-based research is and how our research group uses community- based participatory research in Indigenous maternal & family health.
