The first presentation focuses around the Treaties and the oral testimony.
The second focuses around what an Indigenous Economic Framework would look like and what would fund it.
Presenter:
Marcel Arcand has been working in the Economic Development field since 2003 and has been active in creating awareness and protecting Indigenous History and Rights. During his career, Marcel has received many awards and accolades as well as completed numerous major projects in various locations across western Canada. Currently in his final year for the Masters of Business Administration Program through Simon Fraser University, Marcel maintains a 3.6 GPA and an excellent attendance record. Marcel’s true passion is Economic Development and the exciting challenges it brings regarding building opportunities and partnerships that are for the benefit of all. One aspect that Marcel always focuses on where he works either full time or in his consulting endeavors is the value in creating strong working relationships that transcend standard norms and evolve into long lasting true partnerships. In his spare time, Marcel enjoys spending time with his family and continuously improving their home and their yard. As well, Marcel is an avid writer teeming with ideas who would like to pursue script writing and eventually, motion pictures.
