MCC Microlearning Series - Engagement in Online Courses - Part 2: Accessibility

Engagement is Online Courses - Part 2: Accessibility

2023-06-30 Microlearning Series - Engagement in Online Courses 2

30 min presentation followed by 15 min Q & A·

Tammy Powell, Professor of English, Kennesaw State University; Stephen Bartlett, Senior Lecturer of History, Kennesaw State University

We (Stephen and Tammy) have been directing the Kennesaw State University Radow College of Humanities and Social Sciences Office of Digital Education for over a decade. We just stepped down this year to move on to other things, but one of our most popular presentations was "Engagement in Online Courses with Stephen and Tammy." In this interactive presentation, we go back and forth, t.v. interviewer style, talking about various engagement techniques we use in our online courses, with examples. We can also talk about things we tried that didn't work. Overall, it's a fun, friendly conversation with lots of time for participants to ask questions and contribute their own suggestions regarding interactivity in online courses.
