Interactive Images and Instruction: Embracing Universal Design for Learning in Asynchronous Learning Resources
Aligning with Athabasca University’s constructivist e-learning approach, the library instruction team focuses on asynchronous library instruction resources. One of our preferred approaches is the use of interactive images as they are beneficial for universal design for learning. In this workshop, we will cover the relationship between universal design for learning and interactive images, the core principles of interactive image design, authoring tool overviews and affordances, and available engagement data. By the end of this workshop attendees will have created an interactive image to be used in their instruction.
