Come to learn about the world of poetry film, a genre that combines film, experimental film and poetry! Learn about the accessible digital skills and tools you can use to create poetry films.  

Presenter:

Mary McDonald is an educator, writer and media artist who is passionate about participatory digital arts projects and creative technologies that inspire individuals and connect communities. Mary is the Community Delivery Partnership Manager for Pinnguaq and supports Professional Learning for Educators and Teacher Education Candidates in implementing digital skills and STEAM education (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math) in culturally and linguistically responsive ways. Mary is an Ontario Certified Teacher and has a B.Ed. specializing in Language Literacy and Special Education, and has completed the Master of Educational Technology degree through UBC. She has taught in Canada and at international schools in Asia and Africa. Mary loves travelling to meet new people, learn about different ways of being and experience new landscapes.
